The Founder's Beliefs:
Harold Snook. Founder and President of Finish Design, started out as a teenager working in the family-owned business: Snook Lumber, Buckner , KY. Later, he worked as a finish carpenter while attending college, which soon turned into a full-time job. During his six years of field work, he had a vision of starting a custom mill shop that would compliment the finish carpenters with design capabilities. “I wanted to support clients in all aspects of woodworking and design---to be versatile and more flexible than other companies on materials, construction and finishing with unlimited capabilities for manufacturing.”
The Facility:
In 1994, Finish Design Woodworking began in a 10,000 Square Foot facility in Indiana Army Ammo Plant in Jeffersonville , IN. We quickly grew to a 20,000 Square foot facility in 1996, and in 2005 expanded again into a custom built 32,000 square foot factory in an industrial park on Sable Mill Road , where we are currently located.
